“GPS Placebook” introduces an exciting new dimension to Facebook: the ability to post your exact geographic location to your Facebook Wall Using “GPS Placebook”, a single touch of a button prepares a location-aware Wall post, which is posted directly to your Facebook Wall, so that your authorized Facebook Friends can immediately locate and/or navigate to your exact location via Google Maps in a computer web browser or the iPhone’s/iPod Touch’s built-in Maps application.

Forget the complexity of navigation applications which bury you in controls and statistics, and social networking applications which entangle you in the vast array of information available. HOW IT WORKS: “GPS Placebook” couldn’t be easier to use. When the application starts, there is one button displayed. Touch it, and “GPS Placebook” determines your current location, and allows you to login to Facebook. Once logged in, “GPS Placebook” automatically posts your present latitude, longitude, accuracy, and a link to a map to your Facebook Wall Your authorized Facebook Friends can then with one click on a desktop computer or touch on an iPhone/iPod Touch display a map showing the exact location where your post was made from.
